Throughout the 36-months duration, the project activities will be implemented considering the following strategies:

  1. Improving sustainability and resource efficiency in the Ugandan Tourist Accommodation Sector. To this end, target stakeholder will be involved in the action from the beginning by workshops, forums, roundtables and networking sessions.
  2. Promoting sustainability and the creation of a market demand of Sustainable Tourism products among tourists and intermediate agents through an eco-labelling scheme and the development and implementation of an awareness raising campaign.
  3. Building capacities of policy-makers and facilitating MSMEs funding.
  4. Developing replication strategies capable of engaging the majority of MSMEs in the Tourism Sector in Uganda in the activities that will be carried out within the project.
